Two youths charged with assault with hamer and knife against 19-year-old
A 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man have been arrested for an assault on a 19-year-old man on Godthåbsvej in Frederiksberg on the evening of 26 December last year.
That is according to the Copenhagen Police.
During the assault, the 19-year-old was stabbed several times with a knife and struck by blows with a hammer. The two arrested are therefore charged with physical assault of a particularly crude, brutal or dangerous nature.
According to the police, both arrested are gang-related and are therefore also charged under Section 81 a of the Criminal Code, the so-called gang section, which can trigger double punishment.
The police believe that the assailants have targeted the 19-year-old. However, it is too early to say anything about the motive for the attack.
The two arrested were brought before a constitutional hearing. Here, the 17-year-old had his arrest maintained for 3 x 24 hours and the 20-year-old was remanded in custody for 28 days.
