Police borrowed bike and pursued thief
A 22-year-old Romanian man has been remanded in custody, charged with theft.
On Thursday, the police carried out a targeted effort against pickpockets. In Nyhavn, a pickpocket had stolen a mobile phone from a tourist and then tried to cycle away.
A helpful citizen lent the police his bike so the officer could pursue the thief. Managed. The thief was arrested and both the bicycle and the mobile phone were returned to their owners.
The arrested man was brought before a constitutional hearing on Friday and remanded in custody until 20 June.
