Zelensky addressed the Danes from the main stairs of the Danish Parliament

“After the victory we’ll come to you! Maybe, it’s not traditional to hear it from the President but I want to say it. Yes, we will come to you, sit together somewhere and we’ll say “Skål.”

So said the President of Ukraine when he spoke to the Danish people from the main stairs of Christiansborg on Monday.

He thanked the Danes for their support and assistance in the war against Russia.

Volodymyr Zelensky has been on a two-day visit to Denmark in connection with the announcement that Denmark is donating 19 F16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and that the training of Ukrainian pilots is starting slowly. On Monday, Zelensky also addressed members of the Danish Parliament in the Landsting Chamber, and he and the First Lady were received by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe at Christiansborg Palace, where the Queen also hosted a lunch that the couple attended.
