18-Year-Old Man Remanded in Custody for Murder and Attempted Murder After Christiania Shooting
An 18-year-old man has been remanded in custody, charged with murder and attempted murder following a shooting incident on Saturday evening at Christiania.
The shooting incident took place at 19:25, when two masked men opened fire at and inside the “Stjerneskibet” establishment. A 30-year-old man was killed, and four other individuals were injured.
After firing their shots, the perpetrators fled the scene on electric bicycles towards Langebro.
At Christiania, the police arrested two individuals. One was released late Saturday night after questioning, as it was clarified that he was not involved in the shooting. The other, an 18-year-old man, was charged with murder and attempted murder in collaboration with currently unknown accomplices.
On Sunday afternoon, the 18-year-old was presented in a preliminary hearing at the Court in Frederiksberg, with a request for pretrial detention.
The Court remanded the 18-year-old in custody for 25 days. The 18-year-old’s defense attorney has appealed the detention to the appellate court.
