Copenhagen’s Lord Mayor admitted to the hospital
Copenhagen’s Lord Mayor Sophie Hæstorp Andersen has been admitted with intestinal obstruction.
She announced this herself in a post on Instagram, where she writes, among other things:
“Last Saturday, I experienced such severe abdominal pain that I was admitted to Hvidovre Hospital in the evening. It turned out that I had an incipient intestinal obstruction, which is probably due to scar tissue from an appendectomy I underwent when I was a child.”
“On Sunday morning, I underwent a laparoscopic surgery. Fortunately, it went really well, and I’m feeling much better today. The doctors recommend that I take a few days to recover. I have to listen to that.”
