24-year-old man remanded in custody – charged with the murder of two women
A 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody, charged with the murder of two women.
On Sunday evening, the police received a report via 112 that a woman was lying lifeless in an apartment on Gudrunsvej in Brabrand. The police, ambulance, and a doctor immediately responded to the scene. The victim was an 18-year-old woman, and her life could not be saved; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 24-year-old male resident of the apartment was arrested.
During the initial investigation, the police discovered several suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, including the fact that in July, another deceased woman was found at the same address. At that time, a thorough investigation was conducted, but there was no immediate evidence of foul play. However, it is clear that we now view the case in a different light, explained Deputy Police Inspector Flemming Nørgaard.
As a result, the police charged the 24-year-old with the murder of both the 18-year-old woman and the 23-year-old woman who died in the same apartment in July.
On Monday, the 24-year-old was brought before a closed-door preliminary hearing and was remanded in custody for four weeks.
The remand was appealed to the appellate court.
