Morten Skov Christiansen new chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions
At an extraordinary congress on Thursday, the Confederation of Trade Unions (FH) has elected Morten Skov Christiansen as the new chairman.
In addition, Nanna Højlund has been elected as the deputy chairman and re-elected as vice chairman, while Flemming Grønsund is the new vice chairman of FH.
Morten Skov Christiansen has been the vice chairman of FH since the merger between FTF and LO in 2018 and has also been serving as the acting chairman in recent months.
-“I will continue to work to ensure that all employees have a decent and safe working life. In particular, I want to make a promise to the youth that we will reverse the trend so that they no longer top the statistics in terms of workplace accidents, harassment cases, poor mental working environments, and more. This is my youth promise. It simply means that we must invest in our youth and ensure them proper education, time for internships and guidance, and good physical and mental working environments. We cannot afford not to do so. Furthermore, we have a number of important battles ahead, which I will of course also be involved in together with our two vice chairmen,” says the new chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions.
