A citizen proposal, including the condemnation of “Israeli war crimes in Gaza,” has garnered 50,000 supporters in just a few days, as reported by the Danish Parliament.
Any citizen in Denmark has the opportunity to submit a proposal for consideration in the Danish Parliament. The requirement is that it must obtain support from 50,000 citizens, after which the citizen proposal will be reviewed by the Parliament.
The current citizen proposal reads, “Denmark should condemn Israeli war crimes in Gaza, increase Danish aid to Palestine, and work towards a political resolution to the conflict.”
The citizen proposal was made public on October 30, and today, on November 1, it had already obtained the required 50,000 supporters.
