Major Hash Smuggling Operation: 47-Year-Old Suspect Apprehended in Copenhagen Raids
A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the smuggling and distribution of a significant quantity of hash in Denmark.
The arrest took place during a large-scale operation, with police executing search warrants at multiple addresses in Copenhagen and North Zealand associated with the suspect.
-“I am content with today’s arrest, targeting a man we suspect to be the mastermind behind the smuggling and distribution of substantial amounts of hash in Denmark. Our belief is that he played a crucial role in an organized criminal network involved in narcotics trade within the country. It’s satisfying to have eliminated a key figure in this network,” stated Deputy Police Inspector I NSK, Lars Feldt-Rasmussen.
The case revolves around an estimated 900 kg of hash that, according to the charges, the 47-year-old is alleged to have smuggled and distributed from April 2020 to June 2021.
The 47-year-old is scheduled to appear in a Thursday morning arraignment at the Dommervagten in Copenhagen City Court, where prosecutors will seek pretrial detention.
