Copenhagen Police: 123 Charged for Illegal Drug Transactions in Strengthened Enforcement Zone around Christiania
Since January 10, when the Copenhagen Police established an intensified enforcement zone in and around Christiania, a total of 123 individuals have been charged with either buying or selling illegal substances.
The heightened enforcement zone entails increased penalties for both sellers and buyers. For instance, buyers of illegal substances, including hash, will now face imprisonment upon their second offense within the strengthened enforcement zone.
As of January 22, Copenhagen Police reported having charged 96 individuals for buying and 27 individuals for selling within the heightened enforcement zone.
