Trial Set for 54-Year-Old Man Accused in 1990 Murder of Hanne With

The case against a 54-year-old man accused of the 1990 murder of Hanne With has now been scheduled.

According to Copenhagen Police prosecutors, the case has been scheduled for July 1st, 10th, and 11th of this year. The accused has opted out of a jury trial, so the case will proceed as a bench trial.

The murder of Hanne With occurred on New Year’s Eve, January 1st, 1990, in her apartment at Fensmarkgade 39 in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. She was last seen alive when she took a taxi from Halmtorvet to her apartment, reportedly accompanied by a younger, athletic, and crew-cut man, according to the taxi driver. Later that night, she was found murdered in her apartment.

In February of this year, 34 years after the murder, the police arrested a 54-year-old man who is now charged with the murder.
