
A man remanded in custody after an assault on the Prime Minister
A 39-year-old man who was arrested on Friday night after an assault on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has been remanded in custody.
The incident took place at Kultorvet in Copenhagen.
The 39-year-old was presented in court for a pretrial detention hearing at the Retten on Frederiksberg on Saturday afternoon. The judge chose to remand him in custody until June 20th.
Copenhagen Police state that it is not the police’s leading hypothesis that the incident at Kultorvet was politically motivated.
