Denmark draw with England

Read Time:1 Minute, 2 Second

Denmark and England shared the points when the two teams met on Thursday evening in the second group stage match at the European Football Championship in Germany.

Harry Kane put England ahead 1-0 after 18 minutes, when he sent the ball past Kasper Schmeichel and into the Danish goal after a bit of back and forth play in the box.

About half an hour into the first half, Denmark’s first real chance came when Christian Eriksen found Rasmus Højlund in front of the English goal. However, Højlund did not manage to finish properly.

In the 34th minute, Morten Hjulmand equalized to 1-1 when he got the ball outside the box and sent it – hitting the post – into the net.

In the second half, both England and Denmark had some good chances, but they were unable to convert them into goals, so the match ended 1-1.

Denmark’s next group stage match will be against Serbia on Tuesday in Munich.
