Ukrainian Diver Wanted for Nord Stream Sabotage
A 44-year-old Ukrainian diver has been internationally wanted as a suspect for the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
This was reported by the German media outlets Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Zeit, and the TV station ARD, as well as the Swedish media Expressen.
The Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea were subjected to sabotage in September 2022. Following the incident, both Danish, Swedish, and German authorities conducted investigations into the case. However, the Danish and Swedish investigations were later halted. Germany continued its investigation, leading to a court in the German city of Karlsruhe issuing an international warrant for the 44-year-old Ukrainian.
