Government announces creation of three new ministries
The government held a press conference on Wednesday, where it was announced that three new ministries will be established.
Additionally, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced at the press conference that the Minister for International Climate, Dan Jørgensen, will be appointed as Denmark’s next EU Commissioner.
Three New Ministries
Three new ministerial posts are being created. These include a European Minister, who will focus on the EU presidency that Denmark will assume next summer.
To ensure the Green Tripartite Agreement on the restructuring and transformation of Danish agriculture, a post as Green Tripartite Minister is being established.
The government is also creating the position of Minister for Public Security and Preparedness. This is in response to the current security and emergency situation.
Furthermore, the government has decided to consolidate the entire digitalization sector under one minister.
No names were given for the new ministers; they will be announced tomorrow.
