Read Time:41 Second

Minister for the Green Tripartite, Jeppe Bruus (Social Democrats), is pleased with the agreement reached today by the Government with the SF, Liberal Alliance, The Conservative People’s Party, and The Radical Left.

“I will not hesitate to call this a historic result,” says Jeppe Bruus and continues:

“With the agreement, we are now allocating 43 billion kroner to carry out a massive transformation of Denmark’s landscape. Danish nature will be transformed in a way we have not seen since the draining of wetlands in 1864.”

Regarding the new CO2 tax, he says:

“Denmark will be the first country in the world to introduce a CO2e tax on agriculture. And with the new agreement, we will have an ambitious nitrogen effort to ensure that we once again have fish back in our coasts and fjords.”
