German to lead Brøndby IF
German Benjamin Schmedes is set to be the football director of the Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF.
The football club announced this on Monday.
The 39-year-old Benjamin Schmedes has most recently been the technical director at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, where he led the club’s sporting direction and development. Prior to that, he achieved great success as the sporting director at VfL Osnabrück, playing a key role in the club’s promotion to the 2. Bundesliga.
Benjamin Schmedes is part of the modern German football school, where analytical methods, talent development, and a modern approach to the game go hand in hand – qualities actively sought by Brøndby IF during the recruitment process.
The new football director will assume the role on January 1, 2025.
