
Fire on Ship: One person has died
One person has died in connection with a fire on a cargo ship.
This was reported by the North Jutland Police.
The ship was docked at the port of Hirthals when a fire broke out in the engine room around 10 p.m.
Three people were in the engine room during the fire. One crew member has passed away, another is in critical condition. The third person in the room suffered smoke inhalation but is stable.
The fire has been extinguished and did not spread further.
The exact cause of the fire is not known at present. Fire investigations will be conducted, and inspections will be carried out by the Labor Inspectorate, as informed by the North Jutland Police.
