On Monday, the King and Queen will embark on a state visit to France, accompanied by a number of ministers and representatives from the business community.

The visit is set to highlight the close historical, cultural, and commercial ties between France and Denmark.

In addition to the Royal Couple, the delegation includes Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Vice Prime Minister and Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, Interior and Health Minister Sophie Løhde, and Climate, Energy, and Utilities Minister Lars Aagaard.

Also joining the trip are 56 Danish companies as part of a large Danish business promotion effort spearheaded by the Royal Couple under the title “Partnering for a Resilient Europe for the Future.” During the visit, an economic forum will be held focusing on strengthening European resilience and cooperation in areas such as defense, green energy, and health.

Before the trip, Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said:

“Denmark and France have a close and friendly bond that goes back many years. This was once again emphasized when the Tour de France started in Denmark three years ago. Therefore, we stand together in the effort for a stronger Europe in a changing world. An Europe that can stand more on its own. It’s necessary for heavyweight European countries like France to take leadership. That’s why I’m looking forward to discussing how we can further strengthen our cooperation with my French ministerial colleagues.”
