Heritage Property Owners Convicted for Unauthorized Construction

The owners of a heritage-listed property on Vedbæk Strandvej in Vedbæk, approximately 20 km from Copenhagen, have been convicted for constructing an orangery and a basement without a building permit and in violation of the local plan.
According to the news outlet Netavisen Sjælland, the orangery was 128 square meters, and the basement was 62 square meters in size.
The owners have been sentenced to pay a fine of 150,000 Danish kroner and coercive fines of 25,000 Danish kroner per week until restoration.
The verdict was delivered in the Eastern High Court on Thursday.
