Woman Injured by Gunshot – 20-Year-Old Charged With Attempted Murder
The police have charged a 20-year-old man with attempted manslaughter after a shooting in Næstved.
This was reported by the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police, who on Friday morning received a report that shots had been fired at an address on Kildemarksvej in Næstved.
A woman had been hit, and she was subsequently taken to treatment at Rigshospitalet.
The police quickly had a suspicion about who the perpetrator could be and initiated a massive search in large parts of Næstved.
At 13:30, they succeeded in arresting and charging the suspected perpetrator.
The police consider it an isolated incident that is now fully under control. Therefore, there is no reason for concern among the citizens.
“The motive behind the attempted manslaughter is unclear, and now a larger effort is underway with technical investigations, interrogations, mapping of the suspect’s movements, etc.,” says Vice Police Inspector Rune Dahl Nilsson.
The 20-year-old is expected to be presented in a court hearing during Saturday.
