Danish Citizen Arrested in Germany for Homicide near Nørrebro Station
A 20-year-old Danish citizen has been arrested in Germany at the request of the Copenhagen Police.
The arrested individual is suspected of the murder of a 31-year-old Georgian man committed near Nørrebro Station on February 7th. The police received a report of a fight between two individuals at 11:46 PM. When the police arrived shortly after at the scene, the 31-year-old was severely injured from stab wounds. He later died at the hospital.
On Sunday, German police arrested the 20-year-old Danish resident.
“An extensive and intensive investigation was immediately launched, which on Sunday led to our colleagues in the German police arresting the 20-year-old for the murder,” says Head of the Department for Violent Crimes in the Copenhagen Police, Deputy Police Inspector Brian Belling.
The 20-year-old will now be requested for extradition to Denmark, Copenhagen Police informs.
