Police Issue 70 Citations in Targeted Traffic Controls in Inner City
In total, 70 citations were issued when the police conducted a series of targeted traffic controls in the Inner City on Tuesday afternoon.
The controls focused on both two- and four-wheeled traffic.
The police were present, among other locations, on Strøget, Købmagergade, and Fiolstræde, where it turned out that some cyclists were not familiar with the rules. 22 cyclists were thus cited for cycling in a pedestrian street, while others were impatient and did not wait for the green signal at the traffic lights.
Two motorists were cited for disregarding a prohibition on entry.
