SF became the big winner of the EU election
SF – Socialistisk Folkeparti (the Socialist People’s Party) – emerged as the largest party in the Danish election for the European Parliament on Sunday.
With 99.8% of the votes counted, SF obtained 17.40% of the votes. The Social Democrats saw a decrease and received 15.62% of the votes, making them the second largest party.
The third largest party was Venstre with 14.73% of the votes.
There were 4,301,254 eligible voters, and 58.2% of them voted.
The three parties in government – Socialdemokraterne) (the Social Democrats, Venstre (The Liberal Party of Denmark), and Moderaterne (the Moderates) – together received 36.3% of the votes.
Once the final votes are counted, there will be a final count that may adjust the numbers slightly, but nothing significant in the grand scheme of things.
