DMI issues warning of severe weather

DMI has issued a category 1 warning – severe weather – for heavy rain, hail, thunder, and strong gusty winds for East Jutland, Funen, Zealand, Lolland-Falster, and Bornholm.

According to DMI, a low-pressure system is moving on Saturday from southeastern England towards the northeast, across the North Sea towards Oslo. In this connection, a frontal system is moving over the country from the southwest, bringing warm and humid air over the eastern regions, potentially leading to the formation of heavy showers.

In our area, DMI expects thunderstorms and local downpours. Between 15 and 25 mm of rain can fall within 30 minutes. There is also a risk of hail and strong gusts of wind between 15 and 20 m/s.

The warning is valid from Saturday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
