Explosion in Copenhagen kiosk – two individuals arrested in Sweden

On Tuesday evening, the fire department responded to the Sol Kiosk store on Hans Knudsens Plads in Østerbro, where smoke divers were deployed due to smoke development. However, according to the fire department, they were unable to determine the cause of the smoke.

The police took over the investigation at the store, and several patrols were called to the scene. In addition to the police, investigators, bomb-sniffing dogs, and the military ammunition disposal service, EOD, also arrived at the scene.

Copenhagen Police reported receiving a report of an explosion in the kiosk after an object was thrown inside the premises.

No individuals were injured in the incident.

Later in the evening, the investigation led to the arrest of two suspected perpetrators in Sweden.
