A 39-year-old male Polish citizen has been convicted of assaulting Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
The man was convicted of assaulting a public official back in June at Kultorvet in Copenhagen, by striking the Prime Minister with a clenched fist on her right upper arm, causing her to be pushed.
Additionally, he has been convicted of several other offenses unrelated to the Prime Minister, including indecent exposure.
The court sentenced the 39-year-old to four months of unconditional imprisonment and a six-year entry ban into Denmark.
