Police to get new tools in the hunt for child abusers

Danish Police will be allowed to use new tools to track down the masterminds behind abusive material involving children and adolescents.

Specifically, the police will be allowed to produce child pornography material, which can then be used to grant the police access and the ability to unravel networks where such material is exchanged and produced.

“This tool will give the police the opportunity to gain access to the organizations and forums where cases can be brought to light and get many perpetrators convicted, who are part of abusing many children in Denmark and the rest of Europe,” says Minister of Justice Peter Hummelgaard (S) to dr.dk.

The sexual material of children and young people that the police will be able to produce will be created using artificial intelligence and therefore be fake.
