An agreement has been reached between the government and the Greenlandic government, Naalakkersuisut, regarding a common solution concerning the use of standardized psychological tests in cases involving the placement of children in families of Greenlandic background.

This was announced by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing in a press release.

Criticism has been raised against the psychological tests used in child welfare cases, as they do not, according to critics, take Greenlandic culture into account.

But now, the government and Naalakkersuisut have found a common solution, and the government will introduce a bill later on. The press release does not specify what the solution is, but it is mentioned that more details and specifics will be made public in the upcoming week.
