European solidarity was on the agenda as Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen traveled to Berlin, Paris, and Brussels on Tuesday to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.

“Denmark is a small country with strong alliances. And a part of a strong European community where together, we can address the challenges we face. We have faced significant trials before. European cooperation has proven its worth in handling a range of crises in recent years,” Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said before the tour and added:

“Europe is in a serious situation. With war on the continent and shifts in the geopolitical reality. In such times, unity is crucial. That is why it is important for me to be in close dialogue with my European colleagues and allies all the time. To promote Denmark’s interests and strengthen our common position. Although we have made progress, Europe must be able to do much more on its own.”

Among the topics discussed was, of course, the situation concerning Greenland, which has piqued the interest of US President Donald Trump.
