The prosecution has now filed charges against a 56-year-old man from North Zealand in a case of abuse against several underage boys.

The case dates all the way back to 2000, and there may be more victims that the police have not yet heard from.

The 56-year-old man is charged with indecent assault, rape, and attempted rape of a total of four underage boys with whom he established contact and relations over time.

According to the indictment, the abuses are said to have taken place at different addresses in the area along Køge Bay.

The man is accused of initiating sexual relationships with the boys when they were 12 and 13 years old. In one instance, the abuses are said to have continued for six years.

“This is a very serious case with incidents that date back a long time. Charges have been filed for incidents dating all the way back to 2000. We cannot exclude the possibility that the man may have also assaulted other boys. If that is the case, they should know that they can still contact the Midt- and Vestsjællands Police and tell us what they know,” says prosecutor Line Vetter.

During the investigation, the police also found child pornography in possession of the man – including images and video recordings of one of the four boys.

The case is expected to be heard as an assize court case at the Court in Roskilde in the autumn.

During a court session on Wednesday, the court imposed a publication ban regarding the accused’s name.
