Member of Parliament steps down
The Social Democratic Member of the Danish Parliament Folketinget, Rasmus Prehn, is stepping down.
Instead, the former minister will be the CEO of the Organic Association.
He announced this on Facebook, where he writes, among other things:
“I am thrilled, very proud, and can’t wait to get started!
Being the CEO of one of the world’s strongest organic associations is not only a dream job, but also a bit of a life mission for me.”
and
“My new job means that I am stepping down from Parliament. It is bittersweet after so many years with great experiences and many accomplishments. I have loved my work every single day through thick and thin – and I will miss it all – especially the many incredibly kind and interesting people I’ve worked with. Christiansborg is an absolutely great workplace.”
Rasmus Prehn was Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries for over two years, and previously Minister for Development Cooperation for almost one and a half years.
