Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the second round of the presidential election in Turkey on Sunday, securing an additional five years as the country’s president.
Erdogan received 52.16% of the votes, while his opponent, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, received 47.84%.
Most votes for Erdogan in Denmark
In addition to Turks residing in Turkey, Turks residing abroad also had the opportunity to vote.
Thus, Turks residing in Denmark also had the opportunity to vote in the presidential election.
According to the news agency Andalou Agency, 60.47% of the votes cast in Denmark went to Erdogan, while Kilicdaroglu received 39.53%.
