Suspect in Fårevejle murder case arrested in Amager

The police have arrested a 26-year-old man suspected in a case of murder of a 57-year-old woman in Fårevejle.

The 26-year-old was previously wanted with his picture and name on Thursday. The police had a suspicion that he was hiding in the Copenhagen area. Based on the police investigation and information from citizens, he was arrested on Thursday at 14:26 on Amager.

The murder case involves a 57-year-old woman who was found dead on Wednesday afternoon at an address on Adelers Alle in Fårevejle St. Subsequent forensic and medical examinations confirmed that she had been killed.

The police state that the arrested individual will be questioned regarding the case, and it is expected that he will be brought before the Holbæk Court for a preliminary hearing tomorrow, Friday. The prosecution will seek his detention during the proceedings.
