Man and woman convicted of smuggling 3 kg of cocaine
Two Kosovo-Albanians have been sentenced to several years in prison and permanent expulsion from Denmark.
The individuals in question are a 25-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman who, on November 14th of last year, crossed the Frøslev Border Crossing in a German vehicle, which was pulled aside for inspection.
During the inspection, 3,009 grams of cocaine were found hidden in the car.
The two individuals were subsequently arrested and remanded in custody.
On Tuesday, they were sentenced to six years in prison and permanent expulsion by the court in Sønderborg.
Both individuals have pleaded not guilty throughout the case and have chosen to appeal the verdict for acquittal on the spot.
