Three Employees Stabbed at Psychiatric Center, One Dead; Suspect Arrested

Three employees at the Psychiatric Center Glostrup on Brøndbyøstervej were stabbed with a knife on Friday at noon. One of the victims subsequently passed away.

This was reported by the Copenhagen West Police.

The police received a report of a stabbing at 12:10 PM and quickly arrived at the scene where two employees had suffered serious knife injuries, and a third employee had more superficial wounds. The three victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The perpetrator had fled the scene but was searched for by police patrols, and at 12:45 PM, a 41-year-old man was arrested a short distance away.

On Friday afternoon, one of the victims died as a result of the knife wounds. The relatives have been informed.

The second victim with serious injuries is still undergoing treatment on Friday evening, while the victim with more superficial injuries has been discharged.

The police state that it is too early to say anything about motives, reasons, etc.

“We are dealing with a very serious crime, which we are currently investigating as a homicide,” says Deputy Police Inspector Charlotte Skovby, Copenhagen West Police.

The 41-year-old suspect is expected to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Saturday at the Glostrup Court.
